No, you don’t have to be online to access Microsoft 365. While a stable internet connection is required for certain features such as email and real-time collaboration on documents, many features — such as offline access to files and basic functions of Microsoft 365 applications like Word or Excel — can be used without an internet connection.
Keep in mind, however, that some higher-end Microsoft 365 plans may require an internet connection for full functionality.
Is Microsoft 365 secure?
